Castilloux, Michel & Viviane

Michel and Vivian were married on March 30, 1991. They have two children, Gabrielle and Jeremiah. They have walked with the Lord since 1990. From 1999 to 2015, Michel was part of the staff at Lifecentre Church, in Ottawa. In September 2009, Michel became the pastor of Lifecentre’s Blackburn Hamlet campus, in Ottawa. Several programs were developed there, such as the food bank, which helps about 125 families every month, the assistance program for people with addictions, backpacks are filled with school supplies and given to children in need, and small group Bible studies, to name just a few. In September 2015, they were led by the Holy Spirit to move to Maniwaki, which is in the province of Quebec.

Maniwaki is a mainly French-speaking town. It is bordered to the south and west by the Kitigan Zibi First Nations reserve, which is mainly English. Michel and Viviane are both of aboriginal descent and are also bilingual, which has helped with their integration into the bicultural environment. They are happy to join the Love of God Church. Since their arrival in Maniwaki, Michel and Viviane have been encouraged and excited to see God work in this community. They desire to build their city, their neighbourhood and their family on the Rock – one person at a time (Matthew 7:24).

Their goal in this next season is to form strong bonds with the group of people who are already established at the Love of God Church. They are also developing positive relationships with people and organizations in the community, in order to better target the needs and direct their efforts accordingly. In addition, a team of volunteers and leaders will soon be trained, so they can effectively minister amongst the people of the community.

Michel and Viviane have a lot of experience in counselling. Michel has over ten years of experience working in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre and Viviane holds a master’s degree in pastoral counselling.

Michel and Viviane are very grateful for the experience they acquired with the pastoral team of Lifecentre and now they are honoured to join the team of Hodos to work with Alain and Marie, as well as with Église Le Chemin.

To God be the glory for the things to come.
